A few things to keep in mind if you suspect a student is being neglected or abused....
1. As a professional in education, you are mandatory reporter.
2. All reports are kept anonymous. Although CPS will record your name, they legally cannot share it with the family involved.
3. As long as you file a report in good faith, you cannot be held responsible if the information is not true or cannot be proven.
